Kontich, Belgium — [30/09/2025] — ACEN is pleased to announce that Nynox is now fully integrated into ACEN under the new ACEN Managed Detection & Response (MDR) division. This milestone marks a strategic evolution in ACEN’s cybersecurity portfolio, enabling the company to deliver a truly end-to-end, integrated security offering that spans identity, network, platform, and threat detection & response.
The integration is more than a rebrand, it reflects a deeper shift in how ACEN delivers security: combining operational scale, human expertise, and advanced automation to provide clients with clarity, accountability, and responsiveness in a complex threat landscape.
“The only way to provide real security is through an end-to-end service. Monitoring is essential, but without identity, network, and platform protection in the mix, it’s never the full picture … Within ACEN, MDR becomes part of a stronger brand, with a larger team and a more complete portfolio, all under one umbrella and that’s what clients want.”
Federico Meiners, Manager, ACEN MDR

															Key Highlights & Strategic Rationale
1. A unified “one brand, one outcome” security offering
By folding Nynox into ACEN MDR, ACEN can now offer a consolidated security stack, from identity to network to MDR, under a single accountable service. This makes engagements simpler for clients and strengthens ACEN’s competitive position.
2. Leadership & operational synergy
Federico Meiners, co-founder of Nynox, now leads strategic direction and growth for ACEN MDR.
Kris Bogaerts, with 15 years of cybersecurity and SOC/MDR experience (including building MDR from scratch at Telenet), joined ACEN in August as MDR Manager to lead day-to-day operations.
Together, they bring complementary strengths in vision and execution.
3. Priorities driving early execution
- Containment first: minimize customer exposure by swiftly containing incidents.
- Scalable automation: apply AI and orchestration where it makes sense but maintain human oversight for critical decisions.
- Strong technology partnerships: ACEN MDR is integrating with Google, SentinelOne, and Silverfort.
 Embedding Identity Threat
- Detection & Response (ITDR): identity is increasingly the front line of attacks. ACEN MDR is bringing ITDR capabilities directly into its stack to address threats where they often begin.
4. Market ambition & European vision
While Belgium remains ACEN’s stronghold, the scale and backing of the Cronos ecosystem (ACEN’s parent) make expansion across Europe a clear goal. The aim is to position ACEN MDR among the leading European MDR providers

“To handle the volume of alerts we see today, scalability is key. That means automation and AI where it makes sense, but always supported by human expertise when it matters … With the team and the vision, we currently have, there’s no reason to not aim that high.”
Kris Bogaerts, Manager, ACEN MDR
